Ted Nugent doesn't back down on comments about The Osbourne's

Outspoken rocker TED NUGENT is defending controversial comments he made about reality TV family THE OSBOURNES, insisting SHARON OSBOURNE should be held accountable for celebrating domestic chaos. He touched a nerve when he slammed The Osbournes for presenting the worst of family life on TV. But, despite criticism and comeback from Osbourne herself, Nugent is refusing to back down. He says, "I was condemning the celebration of chaos, the celebration of anti-parenting. I think it's absolutely an indictment to the soullessness of our society when we can find humour or something entertaining about a family that has no discipline, that celebrates crime and smoking dope and getting drunk. I think it's absolutely putrid." And he repeats his belief that Osbourne is a terrible mum and wife: "I don't think she's on top of squat except the bank account for her husband, that she takes advantage of. I think she oughta be slapped silly... She should be put in her place."

Despite the amount of $$ flying about, isn't there
also an underlining premise of The Osbournes,
which is, in spite of the all the family's
problems, they still manage to stick together and
work it out? Ted's comments should be aimed at
MTV, who are coughing up all the money for this,
not the whoreish way in which their cheques are
banked.

And has for Ted 'point a camera at me, and I'll
show you how to properly shoot an industrial
arrow through a deer's eye' Nugent, the audacity
this guy has to moralize at anyone, is preposterous.

Not suprisingly, I disagree with Daz. Sorry bro, but even though I'm not a huge Nuge fan and can definitely attest to him having some major character issues, he's right on with this assessment. I saw his reality show with his family. It was a functional unit. They don't have the same issues that have made the Osbournes rich and entertaining. Just my two cents.

I'll agree with Ted Nugent on this one...As we know all families aren't the same....though the Osbourne's I found to be a pathetic perfect example of what a family shouldn't be.
As far as Ted's hunting ... He eats everything he hunts...it's not all for the trophy sport of it.......in otherwords...it's not the I KILLED AN AMIMAL...so let me throw the meat and just get the head and mount it.

Ted's comments would be easier to take if he wasn't such a sanctimonious old hypocrite. Ted got out of Vietnam by filling his underwear with peanut butter, going to the db, and pretending he shit himself. Now he's a homicidal Bush supporter who is the poster child for USAmerican Empire building.

As for EmptyVee, they are part of the whole degrading piece of shit that passes for culture in this society. Whether it's grunge, cRap, "alternative", riot grrl, or any other half-wit garbage, that shitty little station and its spinoffs are partially responsible for the shitty state of music today.

Ozzy and Sharon are part of the celebrity culture and have next to nil to do with music now, although the starstruck seem to think they do. Better Sharon stick to managing and let Ozzy become the English Lord(what, no OBE?)he is fast becoming.

Okay, I will bet that out of anyone on this board I was probably the biggest Nugent fan back in my youth. I had every album up until the black self titled LP. I loved his guitar playing and over the top stage persona.

Don't get me wrong. Sharon Osborne is an idiot. But Nugent ranks right up there. The guy is a redneck racist and I personally have lost a ton of respect for him that I used to have.

The past he years he seems to have turned into a hardcore right wing prick.

According to E! Online reporter Josh Grossberg: "That dang sweet poontang has gotten TED NUGENT in trouble. Nugent has reportedly confessed to fathering a child out of wedlock with a Dover, New Hampshire, woman who is suing the '70s rocker for child support and custody. According to the local Foster's Daily Democrat newspaper, the plaintiff, 43-year-old Karen Gutowski, filed suit against the 55-year-old Nugent last August, claiming he has provided little in the way of financial aid for their unidentified eight-year-old child despite making millions from album sales, touring and other revenue streams. Gutowski's attorney, Jeffrey Runge, told the newspaper that the musician, radio and TV host and noted outdoor enthusiast has acknowledged paternity of the young boy, but has never met the tyke and refused to provide proper financial support. "Given the fact he's worth millions and millions of dollars, he's paying the amount someone making about $20,000 per year would pay," Runge told the Daily Democrat in September. "I don't know what his assets are so I don't know the amount. She only wants what she's legally entitled to on behalf of the child." But Nugent, who has two sons and two daughters with wife Shermane Nugent, isn't going to open his wallet without a fight. Nugent filed his own petition on Jan. 6 asking a family court "to make appropriate orders concerning the legal custody of the minor child and appropriate custodial and visitation rights" on his behalf.

I'm like you, Sandy. I, too, used to listen to Ted's music and ignore some of his off-the-wall nuttiness, but in the last few years, he has become completely insufferable. Thing is, he actually played music during the "punk" era when anyone who could burn themselves or others with cigarettes and/or dress like a rape victim ready to slit their wrists was getting huge contracts.

His first two Dukes albums in the hippie era were excellent. True roots of heavy metal.

I understand what You and Sandy are talking about.
I used to be a Poison fan until all the whole "Poison Girls" bullshit and this band can't be with "Poison Girls" cuz we own them....HAHAHA...I found that ridiculous. Then again...you have these others who say "No autographs please"...or the ones who are delusional and pretend to be the Beatles running cuz all the fans are chasing them down.
That's what made me not listen to 80s 90s rock bands anymore...Bunch of hasbeen idiots thinking they are godly and still rockstars....WAKE UP DUMBASSES!!!...you're playing clubs for 20 to 50 people these days.
